We slicked back Owen's hair after bath last night and just for fun, gave him his sunglasses to put on! What a heartbreak!

Owen's Best Buddy

Meet Owen's favorite buddy . . . his name is Mickey.



Mickey does everything Owen does. When Owen plays with toys, so does Mickey. When Owen eats a snack, so does Mickey. When Owen blows his nose, or reads books or takes a nap . . . so does Mickey.


I love Mickey!


We just booked a trip to visit the Metros in Orlando this May. How can we not take this little boy to see his best buddy in person?

Playing in the Snow

Last week (before the wonderful warm weather) Owen & I played outside in the snow. He finally let me just the "jester" hat on him and it looked really cute! He would fill up his bucket with snow and then excitedly dump it out on the driveway, eating some along the way.

South Haven & Super Bowl

Saturday Owen & I went to South Haven for a mini-"Mercy girls" reunion. We got to meet some of my friends' babies for the first time. Owen really liked playing with the other kids toys and sharing things with the little kids. He was pretty good with them and not too rough. I'm already in discussion with their moms about an arranged marriage!

The next day was Super Bowl. What's the best part about the Super Bowl? For Owen . . . obviously the food! He really likes salsa. He actually drinks it off his chip.

Our Little Helper

We've started him early with chores! This is why people have kids in the first place, right? To do the stuff they don't want to do!

The video is sideways. Apparently the camera doesn't know that I wanted to take the video vertical instead of horizontal. Oh well, it's too cute not to post.

While Mom's Away . . .

Apparently Jon is a better fort builder than I am. Owen actually invites him in the fort!

Plus Jon made special "fort club" hats for them to wear while playing.

Buddies

We went to visit Aubri and her son Braeden last week. Owen & Braeden played really well together and it was fun to watch them follow each other.





They were both so excited to watch the squirrels outside and the neighbor's dog.
